History Department - UN Goals: Home

Introduction

A path toward sustainable development was set forth by the Heads of State and Government in 2015 with the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This agenda includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) which set forth quantitative objectives across the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development, all to be achieved by 2030.  The goals provide a framework for shared action for "all people, planet & prosperity" to be implemented by "all countries & stakeholders acting in collaborative partnership".  The SDG's address the most pressing global challenges of our time.  See below for more detailed information.
